It's been a few weeks since I posted a Five for Friday, but a lot has been going on so I thought I would share.

I recently took a trip to my local Lakeshore store and I stocked up on items for my new classroom. I decided on a chevron theme with gray, turquiose, orange, and white!

Here is my latest product! I'm so excited and proud of this product because I think it will be very useful for PreK and K teachers.

You can find it in my store here. And it's 50% off through tomorrow (Saturday, July 12)!

I've been working on the Blog Hoppin' Scavenger Hunt and having a blast! I have a long way to go though.

I bought my first maxi skirt (JCPenney)! I can't wait to wear it!

Here's a great recipe for you. I don't have a picture but it is DELICIOUS!

Yogurt Pie
1 crust (graham cracker or Oreo)
2 yogurts of your choice
1 small Cool Whip

Mix the yogurt and Cool Whip together. Pour it into the crust. Freeze the pie for a few hours before serving.

So easy and so simple! I hope you try it! My favorite flavor is raspberry yogurt in an Oreo crust. :)

Have a great week!

Book Talk Tuesday!

So many wonderful linkies happening today! I just had to join another one. This will be my first Book Talk Tuesday.

I found the perfect book for this linky as I was stocking up on books at my local Half Price Books the other day. I came across Joe Cinders which is a version of Cinderella that takes place in the Wild West.

This book is all about Joe Cinders and his three stepbrothers. His stepbrothers spend all day relaxing while Joe works all day completing the chores. Then one day, they receive a letter. They are all invited to Miss Rosalinda's fiesta!

Of course, just like in Cinderella, Joe is not allowed to go. He must stay home and work all day. After he finishes his work and after his three stepbrothers have left for the fiesta, a strange man appears.

He changed Joe's clothes into a beautiful new outfit and gave him a bright red truck to drive to the fiesta.

So off to the fiesta goes Joe and let's just say he saves the day and Rosalinda is impressed. So Joe dances the night away. But at midnight, his red boot is left behind.

Rosalinda heads out to find the owner of the boot and it just so happened that Joe fell off his horse and his foot fell right into the boot!

Rosalinda and Joe are so happy that they decide to get married. And the wicked stepbrothers now have to do all of the chores.

I thought this was such an adorable book and a great book to compare to Cinderella. So........I created a quick activity to do just that!

In this packet, you can compare the characters and settings of Cinderella and Joe Cinders. You can also define some of the Spanish vocabulary used in the book. Finally, you can write out the beginning, middle, and end of the story!

Head on over to my store to grab this packet HERE. And it's on sale through the rest of today!

July Currently!

I'm so excited to post my very first Currently! After June had already started, I realized that I had missed the June Currently, but I was so excited to post in the next one! And here it is!

Listening: There were some wicked storms that blew through the Midwest this evening and I'm hearing the last of the thunder as it rolls out of sight (earshot?).

Loving: I am loving the time I get to spend on the computer to blog or create things for my classroom on TPT. I was feeling motivated when summer started, but I just haven't been able to find the time that I was hoping for. But I'll take what I can get.

Thinking: Many wedding plans are on my mind these days as the wedding is rapidly approaching!!!!

Wanting: To be married of course!

Needing: In our freezer, we have some cheesecake pops. Oh.my.goodness. They are absolute perfection. I sure could go for one of those right about now...

4th plans: Last year I was in Texas enjoying the fireworks. This year, I will be enjoying the fireworks while at a baseball game with my parents. So exciting!

Have a great day!
